Confronting serious injuries and fatalities (SIFs): Lessons from data and experience
Discuss one of the most challenging aspects of safety management. Many safety performance metrics have improved, but serious injuries and fatalities (SIFs) buck that trend. SIFs remain high and are difficult to predict, much less prevent. And when a SIF occurs, response preparations are put to the test. While there is no silver bullet, lessons from data analysis and direct experience can help you mitigate the risks for your business. Equip your organization with the latest prevention insights and readiness plans.
What You Will Learn
- Develop deeper understanding of SIF frequency and factors driving their divergence from overall incident rates
- Review tips on using EHS data to mitigate SIF risks
- Assess SIF experiences and safety case studies
- Discuss best practices for SIF preparation and response planning
