Serge Everdepoel has university degrees in Chemical Engineering and Safety Engineering from Brussels Free University (VUB) in the early nineties.
After 7 years in the chemical industry he joined Johnson Controls in 2001 where he held different EHS roles with increasing responsibility within the “Building Efficiency” and “Global WorkPlace Solutions” business units. Before moving to the Johnson Controls Corporate EHS team in 2015 he was the Global WorkPlace Solutions’ business Global EHS Director, leading a team of over 100 EHS professionals across the globe.
He was the EHS Project Lead for the implementation of the new Johnson Controls enterprise EHS software platform, and successfully led the platform integration project following the merger of Johnson Controls with Tyco Fire & Security Systems.
In his current role he is member of the Corporate EHS Centre of Excellence (COE), with responsibility for the enterprise EHS software platform, Health & Safety programme management and improvement initiatives.
Tina Duffy is an accomplished Environmental Health and Safety professional with more than 16 years global experience focusing both on corporate- and facility-level health and safety programs.
After obtaining her B.S. in Safety and Environmental Management from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania, Tina worked as a Region Safety Manager for a leading transport operator in North America before joining the Corporate EHS department of one of the world’s leading specialty chemical companies. Working with sites around the globe, she has actively provided safety leadership, functional expertise, data-driven safety performance improvement solutions, and EHS software management.
As Vice President of Product Management at Ideagen, Tina focuses on vision, strategy and implementation of EHS systems based on industry best practices, regulatory requirements and customer feedback.
Prof Tim Marsh was one of the team leaders of the original UK research into behavioural safety (in construction) in the early 1990s. Tim is one of only a few Chartered Psychologists who are also Chartered Fellows of IOSH. He has previously been a visiting lecturer at Manchester University and Loughborough University and as a visiting professor at Plymouth University, he is considered a world authority on behavioural safety, safety leadership and organisational culture.
Tim was awarded a “President’s Commendation” in 2008 by the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management and was selected to be their first ever ‘Specialist Fellow’ in 2010.
Tim is an experienced keynote speaker, having presented to organisations throughout the UK, Dubai, South Africa, Malaysia, USA and India. Tim has also chaired numerous conferences on Behavioural Safety in the UK and founded Europe’s largest behavioural safety event from 1997 until 2012.
He has worked with more than 400 major organisations around the world, including Apple, the European Space Agency, the World Health Organisation and the United Nations.
Tim was an expert witness at the “Safety Culture” and “Management of Change” expert forums at the Cullen Inquiry into the Ladbroke Grove incident.
Tim created the award winning Affective Safety Management concept for the IIRSM. His book of the same name is now one of Europe’s best ever selling safety books – as is the second of Tim’s books Talking Safety. A recent third, book Total Safety Culture has also been well received.
Tim regularly writes articles for magazines such as the Safety and Health Practitioner (SHP), Health and Safety at Work, Safety Management, Construction Safety, Safety International, The Ergonomist, Exposure (BOHS) India Safe and Safeguard (New Zealand).
He has worked with media such as the BBC and has written and produced many safety training videos such as Crash Course, Drive Smarter and the extensive Safety Leadership series.
