Ideagen commissions new art series from Henry Fraser to shine a light on global resilience
Ideagen, a leader in regulatory and compliance software, has announced its collaboration with renowned mouth artist, speaker and author, Henry Fraser, to bring the findings of its latest comparative study to life through the powerful medium of art.
The 2024 Resilience nation report explores workplace resilience challenges in high-compliance and regulated sectors, drawing insights from over 4,000 individuals in the US, UK and Australia. The research delves into the major threats and macroeconomic factors impacting people today, offering perspectives on personal and professional resilience across global landscapes.
Henry Fraser's remarkable life story and demonstration of human resilience make him the ideal artist to depict this topic. At 17, Henry's life changed drastically due to a diving accident that left him paralyzed from the shoulders down. Faced with significant physical and emotional challenges, Henry could have easily fallen into despair. Instead, he found a new passion amidst adversity: art.
Henry's memoir, "The Little Big Things", published in 2017, became a Sunday Times bestseller and was adapted for the West End in early 2023.
“Resilience is at the heart of my journey as an artist and at its root, it is key to overcoming life's challenges,” said Henry.
“Just like the chameleon changes its colors to survive and thrive in any environment, we too must adapt to life’s ever-changing landscape, embodying adaptability and resilience in our everyday lives.”
Henry’s art, often depicting animals and nature, resonates deeply with the themes of resilience, strength and adaptability highlighted in the report. Ideagen commissioned a selection of Henry’s paintings that best represent these findings, with the lion, wolf, rhino and chameleon chosen – the latter created specifically for the project. Each painting captures the essence of these creatures, showcasing both their strength and vulnerability.
These visual interpretations add depth to Ideagen's research, providing a unique way to view and understand the complexities of resilience in today's world.
Commenting on the partnership, Ben Dorks, CEO of Ideagen, said: “Henry's inspiring story embodies the undeniable resilience and strength of the human spirit, making him the ideal choice to interpret these themes through his art.
“His artwork is far more than paint on canvas; it symbolizes hope and resilience, reminding us that even in our most vulnerable moments, we can find the strength to rise again.”
