Ideagen renews partnership with Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People in the UK
Ideagen has announced the renewal of our partnership with Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People, continuing as our UK charity partner for the next two years.
Ideagen has proudly partnered with Rainbows, the East Midlands’ only hospice for children and young people, since 2022, to support their work by raising both funds and awareness. The organization provides care to hundreds of babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, as well as their families.
To celebrate this renewed commitment, the Rainbows team recently visited Ideagen’s Nottingham headquarters. Making the announcement even more special, our CEO Ben Dorks presented a cheque for £51,675.10 – funds raised by Ideagen colleagues over the past year.
“As we renew our partnership with Rainbows, we are reminded of the profound impact one organization can make in the lives of so many. Rainbows' commitment to caring for babies, children, young people and families is truly remarkable,” Ben said.
“It’s been inspiring to see our Ideagen colleagues come together as a community to raise such an incredible amount for the charity. We’re honored to continue this partnership and can’t wait to see what we can achieve together over the next two years.”
Kirsty Coxon, Corporate Partnership Fundraiser at Rainbows, added: “Corporate support is imperative to our fundraising efforts, and to say we are delighted to have Ideagen choose Rainbows again is an understatement!
“We have loved working in partnership with them; Ideagen are truly invested in community impact and making a difference to local people. I have been blown away by the efforts of all of their staff to not only raise such a fantastic amount but learn about Rainbows and our families. Their fundraising will help us to continue to support babies, children and young people with life limiting conditions and their families throughout the East Midlands.”
Since the partnership began, Ideagen colleagues have been committed to going the extra mile, putting our community values into action and being a positive force for good. Fundraising activities for Rainbows have ranged from sponsored hikes to bake sales and even skydiving challenges, along with spending time volunteering at the charity.
A standout moment from 2024 was the Ideagen Sports Fest Fundraiser, where four teams of cyclists, runners and walkers completed an ambitious 28-mile relay. The event started in Nottingham, then to Rainbows Hospice in Loughborough, before crossing the finish line – a rainbow arch – back at our headquarters in Ruddington. There, colleagues joined to celebrate the teams' return, joining together as a community to recognize their dedication and a shared commitment to making a difference.
Looking ahead, Ideagen is excited to continue supporting Rainbows through 2025. More inspiring fundraising initiatives and volunteer opportunities are planned for the year, while encouraging our colleagues to bring forward their own unique ideas to support the charity, ensuring it can continue its important work.
